Melvin is known as "The Real Estate Man" and he definitely has a plan. It was actually his sister-in-law, a real estate broker/owner, who fascinated Melvin in becoming a realtor. Mel and his family have always been involved in real estate since his family has own brownstones in Harlem . One of the secrets to Melvin's success is that he always knew how to market himself and make his phones ring. My nickname "The Real Estate Man" came about long ago when I worked for this family. Every time I called the kids would say "Mom, it's the real estate man". I believe in branding myself and that is my brand.
